Christmas Villages bring excitement to the holiday season, and my love for villages is no exception. In the late 1980s, I saw my first village in a store called Stein Mart. I thought it was amazing and wanted a few buildings of my own. They were called Yuletide houses, and my mom bought me my first one. From that point on, I was hooked. I now have several hundred with a variety of brands. Within the past few years, I've really enjoyed collecting pieces made after real places. They seem to bring fun and enjoyment to people and bring back memories of when they last visited that establishment. I also enjoy collecting pieces that represent real things, family members, or special memories. It's fun to mix everything together and see what comes up each year. Where I have such a large collection and not a large place to display them, each year brings a different vibe to the Christmas spirit.
